Tim Howard, the Everton keeper, is considering whether to leave Goodison Park at the end of the season amid interest from MLS side Colorado Rapids.

Howard has endured a tough season and Everton supporters have called for him to lose his senior status to back-up keeper Joel Robles. Despite the support of his manager, Howard has been prompted to rethink his options having earlier hoped to retire at the end of his current contract in 2018.

Roberto Martínez has a tough call to make for the visit of West Bromwich Albion this weekend. Howard has been missing through injury and Robles has impressed – with the team – in his absence.

During the course of this campaign there have several on field verbal altercations between Howard and sections of the Everton crowd.

That might prove the catalyst for a sour end to what has been a distinguished career for Howard, one of the Premier League’s most consistent performers prior to a recent dip in form.
