Nigeria finishes 17th at FIBA 3×3 World Cup

Nigeria’s male basketball group completed in disappointing 17th place out of the 20 groups that participated at the FIFA 3X3 World Cup in Manila, Philippine.

The poor efficiency not withstanding, chief of the Nigerian delegation, Frank Jituboh says he was happy with the results of his wards after what he described as an encouraging outing.

Speaking to the Nigeria Basketball Federation media division, Jituboh mentioned that their first ever participation at such stage was to garner the requisite expertise whereas enjoying with high groups internationally.

Jituboh who can be the Chairman of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Basketball Association mentioned: “I am very satisfied with the performance of the boys being their first time at this level. The experience garnered here playing against the best teams around the world will be very important going forward.”

Stressing additional, Jituboh mentioned the win in opposition to Jordan who’re quantity 16 within the newest FIBA 3×3 rating is a nice enhance to the group.

“We are eagerly waiting for the revised ranking at the end of this month to see the effect of our World Cup outing.”

After losses to Ukraine, Croatia and Latvia at the event, he mentioned important classes have been learnt.
